Velvet Stool

1980’s dressing table stool finished in a deep buttoned pink dralon with multicoloured fabric buttons.

This was a tired and dirty buttoned stool in a cream silk which was otherwise strong and stable.

The customer wanted a modern upholstery replacement using foam and wadding and had the pink fabric and some scraps of other fabrics for us to make new buttons with.

The backcloth was stripped, deep buttons removed, and the tired foam taken off. New 2” foam replaced the previous foam and was cut to match the same pattern of button holes and covered in wadding, then velvet. Finally, the buttons were sewn in, and top fabric was completed.
