Mirror Mirror on the wall…Here’s one of my December commissions – a Victorian over mantel mirror upcycle.
My lovely client had this mirror in the family for a few generations but no longer liked the gilt and wanted to keep it for sentimental reasons.
It was all about trying to give it a more contemporary feel in a new location.
So, the project was to reassemble some broken plaster, prep and delicately paint to give a gunmetal silver effect . This was achieved with Frenchic Furniture Paint Frensheen.
I removed cracked mirrored panels and replaced with new bevelled mirrors. Thanks to the wonderful guys at Leatherhead Glass!
Let me know if you have a mirror story!
A very happy client has now sent me this image of it its new home.
